Chick Formation Process

Location of the Chick Egg: The embryo is ready for the exit position in the egg approximately on the 17th day. When the chick receives this position, the neck part of the chick comes into the air space and the head of the chick is forwards, the beak is under the right wing, the feet are the two sides of the body, and usually feet are headed.

Embryo Weight: Changes in the weight of the embryo during the incubation period. According to the poultry, an egg may suffer a 13-15% loss of weight during the incubation period.

Growth Periods of Chick Embryos in Chicken Egg

Immediately after laying eggs, embryonic development in the incubation cycle is completely completed within 4 periods.

First Period: 1st and 5th days is the beginning period of chick internal organs to develop.

Second Period: Days 6 and 14 are the period when the external organs of the chick begin to develop

Third Period: The 15th and 20th days are the beginning of the growth of the chick embryo.

Fourth Term: The 21st day is the exit of the chick.

Apart from these periods, there are four phases and two critical periods in embryo development.

1. Critical Period: The period between the first and third days when the chicks start their heartbeat and the blood circulation system reaches the required level.

2. Critical Period: The chick pierces the bark before cracking the bark and extends the buggy to the air space, and the chick's lung breathing is thus initiated.

Days 16 and 18: Amnion fluid and amnion are complete.

Day 19: Egg yolk cut is drawn towards the body cavity from the umbilicus.

Days 19 and 21: The egg shell will begin to break with a hard formation in the upper chest of the chicks, which is called the egg-tooth. Chicks will take exactly 1 hour to complete this process. The process ends with an incubation period of approximately 20 + 1/2 days. If we think only half day chicks need to be in hatchery, incubation time is exactly 21 days. It takes approximately 10-12 hours for the chick to completely leave the egg after the first cracking of the egg with the beak.

Although there are some factors and differences in incubation times, chicks may tend to incubate within the same time period due to communication between the embryos in the incubator. The speed of sound is to slow or accelerate embryo development. The slowness of the voice can speed up the development, and the rapidity of the development can slow down the development. You will have a better chance of getting healthy eggs by regularly controlling the incubator.
